台風２４号

またもや台風来てます。今回も暴風圏に入りそうです。
今回も岡山の右側を通るみたいなのですが、県北では広戸風が心配です。

ネギの土寄せ

台風来る前にネギの中耕しました。今年の気候のせいか、生育は今一歩ですが、まだこれから大きくなってくれると思います。

地球の反対側、アルゼンチンから来られ１０日間滞在頂きました。
日本語はほとんどしゃべれず、私のつたいない英語で頑張りました。そして、お互いにグーグル翻訳アプリも活用しました。以前はポケトークを使ってましたが、翻訳アプリは双方にスマホがあれば使えるし、翻訳性能もよいし、日本語言語認識を誤っても手動で修正できるし、とってもよいです。
今回は、ナス、キュウリ、オクラ、サツマイモの収穫、袋詰めと出荷、レタスの定植をお手伝い頂きました。特に彼岸の花束作りは大変助かりました。地元中学校の生徒との交流もよかったです。
彼女がウーファーノートに書いてくれたDo’nt foreget「Life is very short, and it’s only once」と言う言葉は心に響きました。

人生は短い、そして一度だけだ！

She came from Argentina on the other side of the earth and stayed for 10 days.
She can hardly speak Japanese.
I challenged to communicate in my poor English.
And we also used the Google translation application for each other.
Although I used “Poketoku” before, the translation application can be used if both sides have a smartphone, the translation performance is good, even if I misread the Japanese language recognition, I can correct it manually, it is very good.
In this time, what she helped was harvest of eggplants, cucumbers, okra, sweet potatoes, bagging and shipping, and planting of lettuce. Especially the creation of bouquets was very helpful. It was nice to interact with the students of the local junior high school.
The words she writes in the Woofer’s note “Do not forget, life is very short, and only once” resonates in my mind.
